Recipe swap

On JS, we are doing a "slow cooker" recipe swap. This is the first one I did. I kept the cards simple. I used a gingham background, red ribbon. The buttons are from MS button punch (I love that punch). The "X" are paper scraps I pulled through to make it look like the buttons are sewn on.

Some of my work

I had a challenge at J.S....we did a layout on an illness I suffered from. This is a poem/letter to my husband, of Fibro. The next photo is a card I did for my brother-in-law, Adam. The colors are purple/gold, but they don't show up as well.

Rocky

Ok....here's Rocky deciding to sit on the keyboard and got in the way of my typing. Sorry picture so dark...took it w/ my cell phone as if I got up to get my camera, he would have moved....I will have to do a layout on this one...onery cat! Don't want to mess with him....he likes to bite when he is mad and that HURTS! lol

Mom's day cards and Grad card

I could not sleep so I finished my Mom's day and Grad cards.....it is almost 5am. The two cards in the same photo are for my MIL and Step-MIL. The grad card is for my nephew, Joshua, who is graduating from college. (Ok Rocky.....my cat....you need to move....his 25 pound body just decided to sit on my arm and the mouse/keyboard). Joshua has his bachelor degree and just received a full ride scholarship to University of Riverside for his PHD. I am so proud of him!
On his card, I used the toilet tissue technique that Aymee did a tutorial on her blog. The Moms cards I used the ribbon technique she used. I like that technique. Thanks Aymee...these were fun to make!

New techniques

These two photos are techniques that I learned From Aymee. the first image is the card with the ribbon that she gave us the tutorial and also a tutorial of using bathroom tissue imprimting to cuttle bug embosse folders and Fiskars texture boards. I don't have a sentiment yet for the completed card and I am deciding in how to use the tissue pieces on the card. These were a lot of fun!
